Exceptional set of three vintage French oyster plates by Saint-Clément, France, crafted in richly glazed barbotine majolica.
These striking seafood serving plates feature six oyster wells surrounding a sculptural central lemon motif, rendered in deep oceanic shades of green, blue-grey and ivory. The textured relief surface and flowing organic forms are characteristic of French majolica tableware associated with elegant oyster service and coastal dining traditions.
The luminous glaze and refined modelling give these plates a particularly luxurious presence. Rarely found in matching sets of three in such well-preserved condition.
