Unusual vintage Italian bar set dating from the 1960s, composed of an authentic Empoli green glass dog-shaped decanter and six matching glasses.
The bottle has been customised with a leather decorative covering, metal studs and a sculptural dog head stopper with striking red glass eyes. This type of decorative bottle dressing was particularly fashionable in the 1960s, when Empoli glass decanters were often transformed into playful, theatrical bar objects and conversation pieces.
The six glasses echo the same spirit, featuring green glass bodies with decorative bands, lion-head medallions and ring details. Together, the set creates a dramatic and highly distinctive bar display with strong mid-century character.
